Phyllis Oleta Parsons - 1932-2006
Phyllis Oleta Parsons, 74, of Russell, Ky., died Friday, May 19, 2006, in St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
Mrs. Parsons was born March 13, 1932 in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Harve D. Burton and Ruby Reeves Baldridge. She was a member of Russell Christian Church and was employed by Parsons Construction Co.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parsons was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Burton, and a grandson, Randy Tice.
She is survived by her husband, Willis A. Parsons of Russell; two sons, Gregory A. Parsons and wife Sally of Lexington and Neal D. Parsons and wife Jill of Findlay, Ohio; three daughters, Deborah L. Gullett and husband Gary of Russell, Ruby J. Tice of Hamilton, Ala., and Kristy P. Bradley and husband John of Lexington; a sister, Beulah Holbrook and husband Jack of Flatwoods; 12 grandchildren, Carrie Wilson, Amy Rumford, Angie Cochran, Jennie McDaniel, Sarah Parsons-McCoy, Seth Parsons, Owen Parsons, Abby Parsons, Molly Parsons, Emily Bradley, Ellen Bradley and Claire Bradley; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by minister Mark McKinney. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoluem.
Friends may call from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today, May 22, 2006, at the funeral home.
