Kenneth E. Hurst - 1972-2006

Kenneth E. Hurst, 33, of Ironton, Ohio, died Aug. 28, 2006, in Cabell Huntington Hospital.

He was born Nov. 4, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Eddie Davis and the late Shirley Elaine Hurst Vershure.

He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Maxine Hurst; and his uncle, Charles Hurst Jr.

He attended Faith United Church of the Nazarene in Ironton.

Surviving are a brother, Danny Lee Vershure; aunts Pamela Crum of Branchland, W.Va., and Naomi Gibson of Columbus, Ohio; an uncle, Roy Hurst of Canal Winchester, Ohio; and a host of loving family members and friends in Ironton and the surrounding areas.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland, Ky. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa, Ky.

Friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Kenny was a great guy and will definitely be missed. He was always a great help to the band and always had a smile on his face.

We all are so sorry to hear of your loss as it is all of our loss. Kenny was always such a fun person to see when we played in Ironton. He will be greatly missed by Lisa and myself as well as the whole band. God bless you all.
