Gary Eugene Renfroe - 1936-2006

Gary Eugene Renfroe, 70, of Ashland, Ky., was called home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family, on Sept. 11, 2006, in Community Hospice Care Center.

He was born Jan. 5, 1936, in Ashland, a son of the late Ralph and Ruth Holbrook Renfroe. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Rick and Rob Renfroe.

He was a retired engineer with C&O Railroad and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Randy Renfroe and his wife, Tonya, of Westwood, Ky.; a daughter, Gina Lewis, and her husband, Jason, of Westwood; a brother, Arnold Renfroe, and his wife, Joann, of Ashland; grandchildren Brett Renfroe and his wife, Keri, Michelle Renfroe, Heather Renfroe, Jason Renfroe, Ashley Renfroe, Andrew Renfroe, Jeremy Renfroe, Justin Renfroe and Randi Taylor Morrison; great-grandchildren C.J., Mazie, Julian, Cameron and Cheyenne; and close friends Jeanette Tipton, Nettie Gustin, Joe Tipton and John Grossl.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at Fairview Baptist Church by the Rev. Mike Rice and the Rev. Bob Queen. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at the church.

Friends may make contributions to Fairview Baptist Church, 2040 Main St., Westwood, Ashland, KY 41101. Floral tributes may be sent to the funeral home.
