Louise Mabel Savage - 1917-2006
Louise Mabel Savage, 88, of Ashland, Ky., died Oct. 16, 2006, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility.
She was born Dec. 29, 1917, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Lewis P. and Mabel Menshouse Watson.
Mrs. Savage was also preceded in death by her former husband, David Elwood Savage; and a brother, Lewis Jake Watson.
She formerly worked at Parsons Department Store in the drapery and upholstery department and at Aero Drapery in Columbus, Ohio. She was a former employee at Daniels Bakery, Alendras Bakery in Columbus and Quality Bakery in Ashland.
She was a member of Pollard Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, John David Savage and his wife, Linda, of Ashland; a daughter, Nancy Lou Savage of Ashland; a brother, William “Bill” Watson of Venice, Fla.; grandchildren Lisa Michelle Burlew and her husband, Jim, of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Teresa Lynn Crooks and her husband, Steven, of Catlettsburg, Ky.; and a great-grandchild, Brianna Renee Crooks.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Tom Swartzwelder. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 18, 2006, at the funeral home.
