Carl E. Click - 1925-2006
Carl E. Click, 81, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday evening, Nov. 23, 2006, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
Mr. Click was born July 26, 1925, in Ashland, a son of the late Lum and Wilma Ramey Click. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, Poage Masonic Lodge No. 325 F&AM and American Legion Post No. 76. He was a former boilermaker and an ironworker with the Local No. 769 for 35 years. He was a WW II U.S. Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Click was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Click; five brothers, Milton, Delbert, Harry, Lum and Lyle Click; two sisters, Esther Hemlepp and Mildred Sparks; and a granddaughter, Tina Meeker.
Mr. Click is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janet Steed Click of Ashland; two sons, Dan (Melinda) Click of Ashland and David (Linda) Click of Ashland; three daughters, Kathy (Buzz) Clary of Chillicothe, Ohio, Karla (Fred) Leibee of Ashland and Cindy (Jeff) Rigsby of Ashland; a sister, Sarah E. Brown of Ashland; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. today, Nov. 25, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Pastor Gary Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.
