Albert E. Manning Click for Condolences      Printable Version Not Listed - 2006 Albert E. Manning - 1927-2006 Albert E. Manning, age 79, of Pensacola, Fla., died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at a local nursing home. Mr. Manning was a native of Ashland, Ky., and had been a resident of Pensacola for the past 10 years. He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Manning was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Federal Correctional Institution in Ashland. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 50 years, Tommie Jean Vance Manning. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Anne Manning Joyner (Donald) of Blackstone, Va.; a son, Richard E. Manning of Pensacola; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Interment will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to steenfuneralhomes.com.
