Zeolla “Z.” Adams Ward (1924-2006)
Zeolla “Z.” Adams Ward, 82, of South Point, Ohio, formerly of Ashland, Ky., died Dec. 17, 2006, in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
Mrs. Ward was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Lawrence County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Elmer and Cora Parsons Darby.
A devoted homemaker, she was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in South Point, where she always enjoyed the Bible study.
Surviving are her husband, George M. Ward of South Point; two sons, Gary Adams and his wife, Shirley and Franklin L. Adams and his wife, Connie, all of Ashland; a daughter, Gloria Martin of Ashland; a brother, Harry Scott of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Edna Griffith of Ashland; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Edna Moore of South Point.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Ricky Kirk. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
