Lorraine Brown (1909-2007)
Lorraine Brown, 97, of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday evening, Jan. 10, 2007, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
She was born Dec. 19, 1909, in Greenup County, Ky., a daughter of the late Jeff and Laura Bishop Deal.
She also was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Mary Elizabeth Cooksey and Jeanette Rae Sergio; two brothers, Rex Deal and John Deal; two sisters, Alma Czapak and Margaret Deal; a stepgrandson, Kenton Sergio; and a great-grandchild, Sophia Rose Maloney.
She was a retired seamstress at the Ashland Craft Store and a member of Pollard Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mildred Creech of Russell, Ky., and Vonna Lee Patton of Ashland; a stepdaughter, Clara Worley of Ashland; grandchildren Deborah Randolph of South Point, Ohio, John Creech of Worthington, Ky., Terri Kelley and Kevin Patton, both of Ashland, and Sherri Patton Maloney of Houston; six stepgrandchildren; and great-grandchildren Michael Dustin Kelley, John Brinton Creech, Brittany Creech, Kaelan Patton, Morgan Patton, Lauren Ashton Craycraft, Patrick Alexander Maloney, Isaac Robert Maloney and Natasha Annalee Maloney.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Robert Patton. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
