Catherine D. Mannin (1923-2007)
Catherine D. Mannin, 83, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, in Community Hospice Care Center with her loving family by her side.
Mrs. Mannin was born May 27, 1923, in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late John and Martha Phillips Dunnagan.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Biley Mannin, in 2002; a son, Barry Manning; and a daughter, Martha Leona Gillis.
She was former owner and operator of Catherine & Bill’s Discount Center in Bradenton, Fla., and a member of Community Tabernacle Church in Flatwoods, Ky.
She was a devoted mother and called Mom by all who knew her.
Surviving are a son, Russell H. Manning, and a loving daughter-in-law, Patricia A. Manning, of Ocala, Fla.; a daughter, Darlene Gillum Stevens and a loving son in law, Morgan, of Flatwoods; 15 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at noon Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by Pastor David McGranahan and Pastor Lewis Clark. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
