Willie E. Stafford - 1932-2007
Willie E. Stafford, 74, of Ashland, Ky., died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, in Community Hospice Care Center.
Mr. Stafford was born Nov. 26, 1932, a son of the late Clyde and Dora Mae Knipp Stafford.
He retired in 1995 as a civil engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Huntington. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in Korea.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille Barber Stafford of Ashland; a son, Brent Stafford and his wife, Tina, of Ashland; a brother, Estill Stafford and his wife, Grace, of Ashland; and two sisters, Lena Parsons of Florida and Bertha Skaggs and her husband, Paul, of Arizona.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Charles Stewart. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum.
