Geraldine A. Runyon - 1930-2007
Geraldine A. Runyon, 76, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday morning, March 4, 2007, in Community Hospice Care Center.
Mrs. Runyon was born Nov. 19, 1930, in Point Pleasant, W.Va., a daughter of the late Elza and Louise Gaskins Peters. She was a devoted homemaker and member of Meade Station Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James E. Peters and Samuel O. Peters; and a sister, Audrey Peters.
Mrs. Runyon is survived by her husband of 58 years, James L. Runyon of Ashland; three sons, James A. (Terri) Runyon of Burlington, Ohio, Dale Keith (Linda) Runyon of Ashland and Jeffery Mark (Phyllis) Runyon of Catlettsburg, Ky.; two daughters, Gayle Sue Dietrich Wilburn of Rush, Ky., and Ramona Ann (Ed) Wylie of Burlington; two brothers, Charles Peters of Kenova, W.Va., and Tommy Peters of Sumter, S.C.; two sisters, Betty Mannon and Margaret Musser, both of Proctorville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Rob Jordan. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
