Ruby M. Scaggs Hall (1915-2007)
Ruby M. Scaggs Hall, age 92, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday evening, March 5, 2007, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Greenup County, Ky., a daughter of the late Saul and Mahala Riley Scaggs.
In addition, she was preceded in death by brothers Chris Scaggs, William Scaggs, Charles Scaggs and Evertt Scaggs; and a nephew, Eddie Ramey.
She was a caregiver and homemaker and a member of Ashland Baptist Church.
Surviving are a loving foster daughter, Wanda Skaggs Huffman and her husband, John, of Ashland; a sister, Evelyn Scaggs Palmer of Christiansburg, Va.; several nieces and nephews; two special friends, Juanita McGlothin and Gloria Litteral; and her devoted caregivers, Violet, Sherry, Sue, Orletha and Laura Ann.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Ed Caudill. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
