Gayle Chaffin Fleming Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1938 - 2007 Gayle Chafin Fleming (1938-2007) Gayle Chafin Fleming, 68, of Ashland, Ky., died March 6, 2007, in Community Hospice Care Center. Mrs. Fleming was born May 17, 1938, in Ashland, the daughter of the late Edward R. Chafin and Ada Gardner Chafin Slusher. She was a former employee of the Alley Gallery Gift Shop in Russell, Ky. Surviving are her husband, G. Michael Fleming of Ashland; a son, David Gardner Fleming of Frankfort, Ky.; a brother, Donald Del Slusher and wife Sheila of Sturgis, Ky.; a sister, Donna Slusher Barney of Richmond, Ky.; nieces Sara Slusher and Lora Slusher; and a great-niece. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Wayne Kuhner. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101, the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, 1000 E. State Parkway, Suite 1, Schaumburg, IL 60173. Mike and David, Our sincere condolences to both of you on your loss of Gayle. I know that it has been tough fight for her and we all hope that she is now at rest in a more peaceful place. Our best to both of you. John and Judy
