Jewell L. Mason - 1927-2007
Jewell L. Mason, 80, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 27, 2007.
Mrs. Mason was born March 27, 1927, in Casey County, Ky., a daughter of the late David A. Lewis and Dosha Caudill Lewis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard C. Mason, in 2003.
She was retired from Ashland Oil Inc. She was a lifelong member of Pollard Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Randy and Leslye Mason of Ashland; a granddaughter, Erica Mason of Fort Thomas, Ky.; three sisters, Ruby Cook of Dunedin, Fla., Roberta McKenzie and husband Ed of Columbus, Ohio, and Gwin Richards and husband Hugh of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and a brother, Willard B. Lewis and special friend Jenny Wilson of South Bloomfield, Ohio.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, March 30, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland with Pastor Tom Swartzwelder officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews and special friends.
Visitation was Thursday, March 29, 2007, at the funeral home. Friends may pay their respects an hour before funeral services today at the funeral home.
