Marlyn Jo Jackson (1942-2007)

Marlyn Jo Jackson, 64, of Flatwoods, Ky., died Sunday morning, April 1, 2007, at her residence.

Mrs. Jackson was born June 12, 1942, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of the late Ernest Ball and Nellie Jo Martin Ball Jordan. She was a devoted mother and homemaker.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James A. Jackson of Flatwoods; a son, James W. Jackson of Flatwoods; two daughters, Marlyn E. “Betty” Long of Grayson, Ky., and Tammy A. Marushi of Worthington, Ky.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Dr. Lee Gussler will officiate.

Friends may call from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.

Friends may make contributions to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.

Dear Papa, I cant even emagine what your feeling right now,after being married 50 years. Lord only knows it feels like 50 with Mike, our 4 year ann. is on the 12th of this month, hard to beleive huh. Hes put a few years of age on me, as i have him im sure.... But i love him, i just hope were married and happy like you and mamaw were. I love you just like were my own grandparents, i guess i need to get over there and see you more.... And call and check on you more often. My grandparents died when i was small, so when you and mamaw started talking to me like you knew me all of my life, i guess itook it all to heart..... so just hang in there papaw mike and i love you dearly, and if you need us you know how to find us.......... we will always love and be there for you....... love you brandy
