I will never forget my Aunt Ida. I used to be so excited when she would come to visit her sister, my grandmother, Mary Margaret Griffin Roher. She would take me for a ride in her "machine," which was her old white Nova. We would make fudge together, then she would defeat me repeatedly at Scrabble and Rook. She was an excellent friend. I will never forget her laugh. My Nana and Aunt Ida would get to laughing and their faces would get so red we were all afraid they would have a stroke! Aunt Ida was never boring. I remember when we went to Florida together and she and Nan had so much fun! They loved to tell stories on each other about growing up. Aunt Ida always used to say that I am her namesake because we had the same middle name. I will always remember her and carry her legacy on in my name. She was a generous, beautiful, thoughtful woman and a snappy dresser too! She could make K-Mart look like Prada! I just wish I had the opportunity to pay my respects to her and tell her goodbye, but if you don't know then you can't go. Rest in peace, Aunt Ida. I love you very much!

So sorry to hear about Aunt Ida. I always enjoyed being with you and her growing up and in the last couple of years, I got to see her when she came into the store where I work. Thank you for coming to the visitation for my dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
