Edith Charlene Hood Hall (1912-2007)
Edith Charlene Hood Hall, 94, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday, April 16, 2007, in Boyd County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boyd County, Ky.
Mrs. Hall was born July 4, 1912, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Anthony Wayne and Laura Savage Hood.
She was an LPN with King’s Daughters Medical Center and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. She was a member of the LPN Nursing Association at KDMC. She also worked at a shell plant in Cincinnati during World War II.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Hall.
Mrs. Hall is survived by a son, Edward W. Hall and his wife, Henrietta, of Ashland; two grandchildren, Tobianna Hall Zappe and Mary Charlene Hall Wallace; and five great-grandchildren, Lauren Nichole Zappe, Jeffrey Lucas Milanovich, Caitlin Tami Wallace, William Tavish Wallace and Emily Charlene Wallace.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Gene Pillow. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call after noon Friday at the funeral home.
