Delbert Ray Conley - 1928-2007
Delbert Ray Conley, 79, of Catlettsburg, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Conley was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Paintsville, Ky., a son of the late Frank and Elsie Whitt Conley.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell Conley and Orville Conley.
He was a graduate of Wurtland High School in 1947 and of the Baptist faith. He retired from Armco Steel Corp.’s No. 3 Coating Line. He was a U.S. Army Infantry veteran and served in the Korean War.
Mr. Conley is survived by his wife, Bernice Conn Conley; three sons, Michael Ray Conley and his wife, Sherri, Patrick Conn Conley and his wife, Kimberly, and Adrian Bryan Conley and his wife, Sarah, all of Catlettsburg; a brother, Wendell Conley and his wife, Nancy, of Cannonsburg, Ky.; three sisters, Mildred Brooks of Huntington, W.Va., Emogene Hanners of Dayton, Ohio, and Glema Grubb and her husband, James, of Catlettsburg; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by Tim Burton. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
