Edward Junior Caldwell - 1928-2007
Edward Junior Caldwell, 78, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday evening, May 21, 2007, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 30, 1928, in Boyd County, Ky., a son of the late Walter and Lala Williams Caldwell.
He retired from Kentucky Electric Steel after 25 years of service. He was an U.S. Army Korean War veteran, attended Second Baptist Church in Ashland was a Kentucky colonel and a member of American Legion Post 76.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Horton Caldwell of Ashland; a son, Ronnie Caldwell; a daughter, Mary Ann Strutton; two sisters, Joann Simpson and Esther McGranahan, both of Ashland; a special nephew, Mike Horton; a special niece, Janet Thompson; and a host of loving family members and friends.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Ed Caudill. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
