Agnes Brown (1924-2007)
Agnes Brown, 82, on the wings of an angel, took her heavenly flight on June 9, 2007. She will always live in the hearts of the ones left behind, always loved and not forgotten. For part of us went with her the day God called her home. We will cherish her memory and let it live on.
Her life began in Hellier, Ky., on Dec. 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Ruby Huddleston and Sadie Hunt Haas. She was married in 1943 to her late husband, James E. Brown Sr., a World War II veteran who served in the United States Army. Agnes was a life-long resident of Ashland, Ky., and was well known as a Notary Public. Always with a smile, she never refused anyone her services, advice or any type of assistance. Agnes was a lovingly dedicated mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her kind nature will be truly missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by James E. Brown Jr. and Gregory J. Brown.
Left to forever treasure Agnes’ precious memories are her loving daughters and sons, Janice McClung and husband Paul of Newport News, Va., Rhona Bishop and husband Gary of Wurtland, Ky., Roger Brown and wife Connie of Hampton, Va., George Brown and wife Shirley of Kitts Hill, Ohio, Dan Brown and wife Tammy of Ashland, and Ronald Brown of Ashland; her sister, Lovella Bennett of Dawson Springs, Ky.; 11 grandchildren, Betty Renee Powell, Paul McClung Jr., Kimberly Reynolds, Sonya Riggs, Gary Bishop Jr., Jeremy Brown, Tiffany Rufty, Michael Brown, Matthew Brown, Pricilla Sizemore and Daniel Brown; 10 great-grandchildren, Danny Powell, Anna Powell, Emily Reynolds, Haley Riggs, Kierston Riggs, Austin Bishop, Brianna Bishop, Emily Rufty, Taylor Rufty and Gregory Sizemore; and a host of other relatives and friends.
