Glen  HutchinsonGlen Roy Hutchinson - 1924-2007

Glen Roy Hutchinson, 82, of Louisa, Ky., died July 3, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born Oct. 20, 1924, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late Claude Hutchison and Fannie Kouns Hutchison.He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gay Fannin Hutchinson; a daughter, Carolyn Hutchinson, in 1981; a brother, Claude Hutchison Jr.; and two sisters, Opal Moore and Virginia Queen.

He was a shipping and yard foreman for 56 years at Patton Lumber Co. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Garrett Chapel United Methodist Church in Lawrence County.

Surviving are a son, Doug Hutchinson and wife Gabriele of Louisa; a brother, Charles Hutchison and wife Frances of Belleville, Mich.; two sisters, Helen of Rush, Ky., and Margo Jordan of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren the Rev. Brent Hutchinson and wife Gwen of Thompson’s Station, Tenn., Brian Hutchinson and wife Elizabeth of Morehead, Ky., and Caryn McCreary and husband Dr. Chad McCreary of Louisa; and great-grandchildren Adam, Benjamin and Riley Hutchinson and Emily and Aubrey McCreary.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2007, at Garrett Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Pete Miller and Robert Kelley.

Burial will be in Hutchinson Family Cemetery with military rites by Big Sandy VFW Post 6103 and American Legion Post 89.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today, July 5, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.

There are no words for your (and our) lose. Always know that Aunt Gay's and Uncle Glen's home was always open to all of us and the love they shared with us is priceless. Our prayers and love are with you at this time and always. If you need us in any way just call. Our love to all :-)
