I first met Elmer when I was 14 years old. We have remained friends for all these years. I remember him gardening with my mother, sharing jokes and stories with all of our friends, and generally being a kind and generous soul. Of course he was intelligent but he also was such a good man. His life influenced many people throughout the years. I will miss him dearly as I am sure will others. My thoughts and prayers are with all who feel such a loss from this kind soul.

Elmer's death is really a loss. Not only was he an intelligent man, he was kind, compassionate and thoughtful. I met Elmer when I was 14 years old. The memories are too many to put into this small space. He gardened with my mother, laughed with my husband and myself and was a good friend to all who knew him. His students loved him as we all did. I will miss his cards, phone cards and notes. His passing will definitely leave an empty space in many hearts. Thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved him.

I am really sorry about the death of Elmer.
Elmer was a very special friend to me. He taught me at Clear Fork High School in the early 50's. He was a very good teacher and friend.
I kept in contact with him over the year. I always stopped to see him when going through.
I want to send my deepest condolences at this time.
I want to thank whoever sent me the information.

Elmer's passing is such a loss. He was such a fun person with a lot of varied interests. I remember the good times of cooking with him. He love gardening with myself as well as my mother. I first met Elmer when I was eleven years old. We have kept in touch all these many years. His sense of humor, his kindness and generousity have touched many throughout his 80 years. I feel a piece of my heart has died with his passing.

Mr. Kobel, Dr. Lawson was my substitue for many years in the 80's at Boyd County High School. I will never forget him and how much he taught me while he subbed in my classes. He was a very knowledgeable man and I learnt a lot from him all those years ago. My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you and your family in this time of sorrow.
