Darren, Cynthia and the rest of the family. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Uncle Ray was a special person to me. He planted his print in my heart many years ago when I was just a child. He will forever live there. He was a rock to a child when she needed him. I am now 60 and will be forever grateful to him. His easy laughter, his carrot cake, his love of family and so much more. I talked to him at the family reunions years ago about what he meant to me. I think he knew. So sad that everyone is so far apart now. Those family reunions were so special. I can still hear him laugh at me pulling up in an old '72 volkswagon with mom and my kids and my sisters kids. Usually we also had a few neighbor kids too. We were all piling out and he was standing there laughing. He said he stopped counting ! Then we all unloaded the food and he would help. Remember all the goodies at the reunions? I looked forward to the carrot cake. He loved you all very much. I was so lucky to have him in my life.
