Marion “June Bug” Barrett Jr. - 1951-2007
Marion “June Bug” Barrett Jr., 56, of Ashland, Ky., passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born May 1, 1951, in Kenova, W.Va., a son of the late Marion and Betty Lou Dalton Barrett.
In addition, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles R. Barrett; a brother-in-law, Harold Feeney; and two sisters, Joyce Ann Short and Carolyn Sue Meeks.
He was formerly employed with Boyd County Ford in Ashland and attended Westwood Wesleyan Church while he was able.
Surviving are his loving wife of more than 33 years, Teresa Grubb Barrett of Ashland; a daughter, Tina Marie Barrett and husband Tom of Ashland; two brothers, Daniel Paul Barrett of Catlettsburg, Ky., and Billy Barrett and his wife, Cheryl, of Ashland; three sisters, Linda King and her husband, George of Waverly, Ohio, and Frances Graves and her husband, Charles, and Elizabeth Feeney, all of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 14, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Philip Zimmerman. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
