Barbara Ann Lewis - 1941-2007
Barbara Ann Lewis passed away in the University of Kentucky Medical Center following a courageous fight with cancer.
She was born in Ashland on July 24, 1941, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Brownie Bryan. She was raised by her grandparents, the late Jesse and Anna Adams.
Barbara was a member of First Church of God in Ashland.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Michael D. Lewis of Ashland; three sons, Michael Lewis Jr. (Kathi) of Winter Springs, Fla., Jeff Lewis (Katy) and Chris Lewis (Sherry); grandchildren Hannah Lewis, Abbey Lewis, Alexandra Lewis, Aaron Lewis and Brett Lyons, all of Ashland, and Kylie Lewis of Winter Springs; a sister, Margo Patton (Bert) of Ashland; and brothers Jesse Bryan (Faitha) of Grayson and Curtis Bryan of Catlettsburg.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at First Church of God, 3500 29th St., Ashland, by Pastor Wayne Absher and Pastor David Lynch. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland and an hour before services Thursday at the church.
