Nellie Frances Murray Hicks - 1928-2007
Nellie Frances Murray Hicks, 78, of Ashland, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland.
She was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Huntington, W.Va., the daughter of the late Charles and Anna McCleary Murray. Her husband, James Milton Hicks, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hicks was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 17, 1967, and was a member of the Ashland congregation at the time of her death.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Kouns and her husband, Gerald “Beanie,” of Ashland and Karla Eivins; two grandchildren, Bryce and Jasmin, all of Richmond, Va.; and two sisters, Mary J. Walton of Ashland, Ky., and Mamie Holmes of Huber Heights, Ohio.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 17, 2007, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ashland.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Huntington.
