
Donald Fraley (1925-2007)
Donald Fraley, 82, of Catlettsburg, Ky., formerly of Warsaw, Ind., died Sept. 10, 2007, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born July 19, 1925, in Riceville, Ky., a son of the late Burley and Sally Howard Fraley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Jane Johnson Fraley, who died on Aug. 15, 1961; brothers Clyde Fraley, Connard Fraley and Phillip “Buddy” Blevins; and sisters Georgia Aldridge and Phyllis Blevins.
He was retired from the Postal Service in Warsaw, was a World War II Army veteran, attended Mavity Freewill Baptist Church and Bear Creek United Methodist Church and was past commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart River City Chapter 591.
Surviving are his present wife, Joanne Roop Peterson Fraley of Catlettsburg; two sons, Donald Allen Fraley of South Bend, Ind., and Steven Ray Fraley of Warsaw; two stepsons, Nathan Peterson of Mooresville, N.C., and Toby Peterson of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Tanya N. Gillette of Warsaw; two sisters, Jewell Hackworth of Cannonsburg, Ky., and Glema Blade of Hillsboro, Ohio; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family members and friends.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial with military rites will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Kosciusko County, Ind.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland and from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw.
