Father God, welcome this lady into your house, welcome her with open arms and be with her family in this time of remembrance. Miss Beckwith was a very special lady, those of us who remember her as a studious, but caring teacher at Crabbe Elementary will also know that she had a heart for the Lord. Take her home and be close to her family. All this I ask in Jesus' name Amen

Miss Beckwith was my 6th grade teacher at Crabbe Elementary in Ashland. I was a young lady with no natural ability for "math" but she always told me I could do the work if I put my mind to it. Most importantly Miss Beckwith truly cared about me as an individual and she was the first teacher who taught me self respect. She always made me feel special though she was tough on me and made me behave and be respectful in class. I became a history teacher myself and I only hope I touched my students as she touched my life. I am sorry for your loss as she was a very special lady.

Miss Beckwith was my teacher during my 1st, 3rd and 6th grades at Bayless Elementary. I was a little girl with a bad heart and didn't actually begin 1st grade with the rest of my class -- I was too ill. I had surgery at the beginning of that year and recovered at home for a few months. Because she didn't want me to fall behind, she came to my house every day after school to bring my lessons until I was well enough to attend class again. That was in 1960. I will be forever grateful that she took the time to help that little girl follow her classmates to the 2nd grade. Thank you doesn't seem nearly enough to show my appreciation. The old elementary school is gone; and now so it one of its most beloved teachers. You were such a kind, caring and compassionate person. You may be gone now, but you will never be forgotten. My sincere condolences to your family and all who knew you.

Ms. Beckwith had a great influence in my life. She was my favorite teacher and also my neighbor. She would always "instruct" me to how set high goals for myself. One of her favorite quotes was "this isn't hard, you're making it hard". I will miss you Pauline. May God smile on you this day.

My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. Miss Beckwith was my favorite 6th grade teacher at Crabbe Elementry. She was a great teacher that really cared about her students and wanted them to reach their potential.

Miss Beckwith was my 6th grade homeroom and math teacher in 1969-70 at Crabbe Elementary in Ashland. As much as she tried I didn't learn math as I should have but she taught me quite a bit about respect and responsiblity. As an obnoxious white kid she "had my number" and made me tow the line, and no squirming out of it! My deepest sympathy to family and friends remaining.
