Harold Slone (1918-2007)
Harold Slone, 88, of Ashland, died Wednesday in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
He was born Dec. 8, 1918, at Caney Creek in Beaver, Ky., to the Late Travis and Jane Sizemore Slone.
Mr. Slone was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cannonsburg, and was a self-employed trucking contractor.
Mr. Slone was preceded in death by brothers, Elmer, Onis, and Charles Slone, and a sister, Ethel Tooker.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip Slone of Burnside, KY and Keith Slone of Catlettsburg, KY, a daughter, Reeda J. Carnes of Williamstown, KY., a brother, Carl Slone of Shelby, OH., and a sister, Willadean Mitchell also of Shelby, OH
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
