Sarah Tackett Fraley, 100, of Ashland, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland.

The Kansas City, Kan., native was born June 6, 1907, the daughter of the late Sherman and Katherine Harrogott Schneider Tackett.

She was the widow of Raymond L. Fraley, who passed on in 1980.

She was a member of the South Ashland United Methodist Church and a former employee of C.H. Parsons Co. in Ashland and the Selby Shoe Factory in Ironton. She was a devoted homemaker.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Raymond Fraley Jr.; a daughter, Brenda Lou Fraley Howard; and a brother, Frederick Tackett.

Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Kitty Kouns, Betty Jarvis and Roberta and Gennis Tipton, all of Ashland; nine grandchildren, David, Keith and Renee Fraley, Roger Jarvis and wife Billie, Alan Jarvis and wife Marsha, Tina Jarvis Karnes and husband Randy, Rick G. Kouns and wife Sue, Vicky Myers and Jeff Tipton and wife Christina; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at noon Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel by the Rev. Lance Campbell. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Ashland United Methodist Church, 2203 29th St., Ashland, KY 41101, the Salvation Army, 2212 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101 or Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.

I visit my mother Molly everyday at W.O. and Sarah was always concerned about how Mom was doing. Sarah was a very sweet lady and she will be missed.
