
Woodrow Hall - 1923-2007
Woodrow W. Hall, 84, of Ashland died Friday at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was born May 18, 1923, in Ashland, the son of the late Alfred and Martha Bishop Hall. He was the husband of the late Mary Martin Hall.
He was retired from the Ashland Police Department and was a member of the BPOE 350; the FOP; was a Kentucky Colonel and an Admiral of Kentucky Waterways. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division.
Survivors include one son, Steve H. Hall of Catlettsburg; two daughters, Priscilla Diane Jarrell of Angola, Ind., and Cheryl Jean Reimke of Fredricksburg, Va.; six grandchildren, Dean Jarrell, Debra Jarrell, Yvonne Reimke, Sean Reimke, Trevor Hall and Taylor Hall; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens, with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post 93. There will be no visitation.
