Mr. Adkins and family: I was truly saddened when Paula Strum told me or Ms. Adkins' passing. I had been praying for her and will continue to remember your family. Please come by our home or yell at me when you see me out back so we can talk some. I will always remember what good neighbors you have been and Mrs. Adkins' friendly manner. Talk to you later. I hope the family is conforted in these kind words and how well Lou was thought of. Now, it will be up to them to leave their own memories and strive to be a credit to her. What is done is past, but the future can hold whatever they want it to. I did not know Lou personally, but from her family and these comments I would have liked to know her. I am a friend of Paula's.

I was so sad to hear about Lou. She was a friend of mine all through grade, middle and high school. We also remained close until I moved away from Ashland in 1972. Lou was a fun and sweet girl and I'm sure we will all miss her. Love, Sharon (Little) Geswein
