Dennis Goble - 1915-2008
Dennis Goble, 93, of Ashland, Ky., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, Jan. 30, 2008, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 13, 1915, in Martin County, Ky., a son of the late Andrew Abraham and Lizzie Mae Cook Goble.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Nancy Ellen Goble, on Jan. 1, 2007.
He was supervisor of maintenance and worked in the coal mines for 37 years. He was a member of Westwood Christian Baptist Church and a 32nd degree Mason.
Surviving are his caregivers, Bonnie and Don Sparks of Ashland, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Tony Daniels. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
