Kathleen Davies Bowling - 1924-2008
Kathleen Davies Bowling, 83, of Kenova, W.Va., formerly of Catlettsburg, Ky., died Monday evening, March 17, 2008, in Kings Daughters Medical Center.
She was born April 2, 1924, in Liverpool, England, a daughter of the late A.J. and Elsie Evans Davies.
In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Bowling, who died in 1963; a son, Arthur James Bowling; and a brother, Robert Davies.
She was retired owner of Bowling Feed & Hardware and attended Calvary Episcopal Church and the British Born Club in Ashland, Ky.
Surviving are a son, Robert David Bowling and wife Sheila of Catlettsburg; a daughter, Margaret Ann Rines of Kenova; a stepdaughter, Linda Mollett and husband Danny of Catlettsburg; a former daughter-in-law, Lynn Hutchinson and husband Jay of Ashland, Ky.; grandchildren Andrew Bowling, Nathan (Virginia) Rines, Holly (Jason) Terry, David Bowling and Adam Bowling; and a great-grandchild, Nathan Matthew Rines II.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Mann S. Valentine IV. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
