Kenneth E. Houck Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1927 - 2008 Kenneth E. "Dad" Houck Sr. (1927-2008) Kenneth E. "Dad" Houck Sr., 80, of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday evening, April 16, 2008 in Community Hospice Care Center. He was born June 11, 1927, in Ashland, a son of the late Ernest E. and Atlas Morrison Houck. He was retired from Armco Steel, a WWII Army veteran, a member of Moore Street Tabernacle and Hampton Masonic Lodge and a Kentucky colonel. Surviving are his wife, Leona Collins Houck of Ashland; a son, Kenneth E. Houck Jr. and wife, Kim of Grayson, Ky.; a daughter, Pam Roberson and husband, George of Ashland; a brother, Donald L. Houck of Ashland; and three grandchildren, Heather VanDyke and husband, Frank, Steven Roberson and wife, Lisa and Haley Houck. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Danny Pancake. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may make contributions to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101. I am very sorry to learn of your loved ones passing. Gods word the Bible describes death as a common enemy of all.  1 Corinthians 15:25, 26 Thankfully, we have hope, just as Job asked, If a man dies, can he live again?  Job 14:14 And Jesus Christ answered by explaining the resurrection  John 5: 25-28 May you find comfort during this time of grief from the Holy Scriptures. - 2 Corinthians 1:3-5

Kenny, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I know there is nothing that I can say to help ease the pain you are going through, as I went through it with losing mom last year. Try to take heart in knowing he is no longer sick and is ina better place. Remember that in the end we will all be united with our loved ones. Take care and if you or Kim need anything just call.
