Holly Carey - 1982-2008
Holly Elizabeth Carey, 26, of Ashland died Thursday, June 3, 2008, in Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Ga., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born Jan. 12, 1982, in Ashland, the daughter of Danny Joe Davis of Ashland and the late Mary Jane Hemlepp Martz. She was the wife of Michael Shane Carey, who survives.
She was a 2000 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and was a homemaker.
She also was preceded in death by her grandparents, P.D. and Sally Lambert Hemlepp.
Survivors, in addition to her father and husband, include one stepson, Alex Carey of Russell; one daughter, Alexis Brooke Davis of Ashland; one stepdaughter, Ashley Carey of Russell; two brothers-in-law, Tim Carey of Gainesville, Fla., and John Carey of Catlettsburg; one sister, Emily Suzanne Davis of Ashland; one sister-in-law, Tammy McMahon of Bay City, Texas; grandparents, Bobby and Millateen Blair Davis of Ashland; and her mother- and father-in-law, John and Donna Bundy Carey of Tallahassee, Fla.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Steen Funeral Home, Central Avenue Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Skaggs officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
