Lloyd Moore - 1944-2008
Lloyd Moore, 63, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday afternoon, June 12, 2008, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
He was born June 24, 1944, in Ironton, Ohio, a son of the late Wickliff and Mollie Patton Moore. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Oliver & a sister, Jewell Oliver.
He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Karen Hall Moore of Ashland; a son, David Moore and wife Terry of Lexington, Ky.; two daughters, Dana King of Greensboro, N.C., and Melissa Moore of Ashland; a brother, Wickliff Moore Jr. of Lexington; two sisters, Ruth Mann of Morristown, Tenn., and Monie James of Ashland; grandchildren Olivia, Emily and Aaron Moore, Kayla and Kyle DeBoard, Andrew Fairchild, Jennifer Moore and Micah Talbert; and a great-grandchild, Keegan Fairchild.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Mike Rice. Entombment will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
