It was a very sad day when I read of the passing of Coach McDonald. I played for ASG from 1985-87 and can honestly say those were my best memories of baseball. He made the game fun and saw the best in his players even though we werent always that good. After high school, he agreed to serve as a reference as I applied for internships during college, which was certainly more than I deserved. You were tremendous Coach, and we won't forget you.

My prayers are with your family during this time. Sharon and Jennifer, I often think about my childhood and how your family was almost my second family. I fondly remember all of the time I spent at your home. I wish that I could be there for the memorial. It is ironic that my father was having open heart bypass surgery when I heard the sad news. You are in my prayers.

Charlie and I became good friends while doing taxes. I knew him as a person who loved his church, his friends and loved doing things for others. I will miss him greatly!
