I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection. Please allow God's Word to strengthen you and help you to endure this most difficult time.

So sorry to hear of "this" Russ Bellomy's death. There was another Russ Bellomy that actually died the day before here in Edmond, OK. He was my father. Ironically, his funeral was exactly the same day and time as your Rusty... Our Russ Bellomy was a fine Christian man also. Having served as an Elder at his local church; Hillcrest Christian Church in Oklahoma City for many years. He was honored as "Elder Emeritus". God has two fine men by his side now. God Bless your family!

I was blessed to travel to Jamaica with Rusty on a Work and Witness trip, as well as interact with him as he made trips to my home church in Whitesburg to help put a steeple on the church and install new windows in the parsonage. Rusty was one of the spiritual giants who gave us a glimpse of God's plan for a life of total surrender. I will never forget his unfailing smile, his remarkable patience, and his unmatched selflessness. I continue to bring Kristoffer before the throne that God would touch him, as Well as Rose and Nancy, and the rest of the Family, that the God of All Peace would comfort and restore you in this time. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4(NKJV)

We also will be praying for the Grandson and his speedy recovery. Blessing on you. Rev. Charles A. Bledsoe Eastern Michigan District PrimeTime W&W Director

Please be assured of my prayers and sympathy. Rusty served his Lord and his church admirably. He will be missed by all. It was my privilege to work with Rusty when I was the General NMI Director. His passion for missions was contagious. I thank God for Rusty's life and for his family who shared him with the church.

What a tragic loss! May the God of comfort bring peace and consolation to your lives during these difficult days. We met Rusty on his first W&W trip to Guayaquil, Ecuador, in the early 1980s. His gentle spirit and humility earned him many friends among missionaries and Ecuadorian people. Rusty was much more than a great worker; he was an incarnate testimony of the grace and power of God. After many years we reconnected at MVNU. Like those early days, it was easy to see Rusty's Christlikeness. We share your sorrow at this time.

Dear Family, I met Rusty through my work in the WM W&W office. What a joy and infectious character! I loved talking with Rusty on the phone about how God was leading his teams and then meeting him personally at a W&W Conference. I am grateful to have know Rusty and for his spirit of servanthood and entusiasm for what God plans for the future. I know my future is different because of Rusty's faith and encouragement to push W&W and my involvement further. My heart goes out to you as a family and my prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of someone so spirited, and yet celebrate in the confidence Rusty is now living with his Savior.

We do find peace and joy in knowing that our friend is in the arms of his Savior. Grace and Peace, Lonny Bumgardner and Family

Dear Friends and Family, My heart was deeply saddened at the passing of Rusty. I have served on different committees with Rusty and always found him to be gentleman. His passion for missions and for people in general spoke to me of Christ's love for His people and a finer christian man will never be found this side of heaven. I loved Rusty and look forward to being reunited with him someday but until then it is truly our loss. My family and I will be praying for you and for the recovery of Kristoffer. God Bless you especially Rose during these trying days. In Christ's Love, Scot Crothers

I was the former Missionary President at Worthington Nazarene. During my terms I had the priviledge of becoming friends and serving with Rusty. What a wonderful inspiration he was. He lived in the center of God's will and now he is living in the center of God's light. My prayers are with you and I am very saddened by your and Eastern Kentcuky's Work and Witness loss. Prayerfully, Reta

I remember Rusty as a quiet man of faith. He did not simply talk of his faith, but lived a Christ-centered life. As i grew up in the youth group in Ashland, KY, I remember how he was ready to help and lend a hand fixing that old Greyhound bus that we often traveled on. Thanks for all your work. I will be praying for the family. May God be an "Ever-present help in time of trouble." In Christ, Mark K. Justice, Pastor

Rusty was a wonderful God-fearing man that enjoyed giving his time and energy in building the Kingdom of God. His life reflected that he had much love for his family. Rusty was our neighbor while we lived in Ashland and our friendship has continued through the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy, Susan, Rose, Ronald and the entire family during your time of grief. He will definitely be missed, however, there is consolation that we will meet again on the other shore. Rustys life was a testimony on earth and we know he is now rejoicing in Heaven with our Heavenly Father.

Heartfelt sorrow and condolences to Rusty's wonderful family. I worked with Rusty on a Work & Witness trip in Pascagoula, MS and was inspired by his patience and love for our youth. I was always in awe of the wonderful relationship between he and Chris. I attend the Lloyd Church and will miss is inspiration and direction in working and giving all your efforts to helping others. With love, prayers, and hope for precious memories to help through such a tragic end to a wonderful life. I look forward to seeing him when we come together with those who have touched our lives in Heaven.
