My condolences to the family of Professor Dils. I'm proud to say that I was a student of his at O.U. Southern back when it was called "The Branch." I am thankful for the dedicated efforts that educators such as Professor Dills and others made for O.U. Southern. Professor Dils was one of many who would teach all day then come to Ironton High School and teach all evening. As a result of those efforts many people who worked during the day such as I, had an opportunity to receive a college education. I am thankful for the educational blessing that he bestowed upon so many of us. May God richly bless your family. Rick Barrett BSED O.U. 1985

We will all miss our "old" uncle Bob. He was not only my favorite uncle, but an educational mentor as well. He always made things look easy. I hope I will be as good a professor and teacher as he was. We miss you and know you are probably teaching again in heaven.

I'm saddened to hear of Professor Dils departure from this life. He was a funny man from whom I received many things in addition to an education. He taught me about beleiving in myself, looking deep to find meaning and always trying my best. I have often wondered about where he was and now I know, he's somewhere up in heaven getting answers to some of life's toughest questions. God Bless you Professor Dils!

To the Family, I was a student of Mr. Dils at Ohio University Southern Campus and remember him fondly. I felt mixed emotions--sadness for his departure and uplifted by a life well lived. The obituary was a wonderful tribute to a man who touched many lives!
