Fern R. Gesling - 1913-2008
Fern R. Gesling, 95, of Ashland, Ky., died July 30, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born Feb. 15, 1913, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Fred W. and Rose Hunt Gesling.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick Richard Gesling and William Donald Gesling.
She was retired from the payroll department at Kentucky Power Co. and a member of First United Methodist Church and the Altrusa Club.
Surviving are nephews Frederick Richard Gesling of Panama City, Fla., and William D. Gesling and wife Martha of Ashland; two great-nephews and a great-niece.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum by the Rev. Gene Pillow. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
