Betty Scott Bradley (1933-2008)
Betty Scott Bradley, 75, of Ashland, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Betty was born June 21, 1933, in Bath County, to the late Harold and Mary Scott.
Betty was a graduate of Ashland High School. She and her husband founded Summit RV in 1976. She was a member of Eastern Star, president of Boyd County Homemakers and attended First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Ashland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Bradley, and sister, Janet Lyon.
She is survived by a daughter, Julie (Jeff) Runyon; a son, James (Deanna) Bradley; and a brother, Ralph (Phyllis) Scott, all of Ashland. She was the beloved grandmother of Jennifer Runyon, Ryan Runyon and Taylor Bradley and aunt to Mary, Scott, Roger and Mark Lyon and Ralph Edward Scott.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Ike Nicholson. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church of Ashland (Disciples of Christ) or Community Hospice of Ashland.
