JoEllen Dean Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1947 - 2008 JoEllen Dean - 1947-2008 JoEllen Dean, 61, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center. She was born April 2, 1947, in Hinton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles W. and Nellie Pearl McCracken Lentz. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garrett Dean, who died in 2003. She retired from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital with more than 35 years of service and was a devoted, selfless mother and grandmother. Surviving are a son, Jeffry Dean and wife Dianna of Ashland; two daughters, Kimberly Farris and husband Joe and Suzanne Dean, all of Ashland; a brother, Don Lentz and wife Patsy of Bellefonte, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeff, Cory, Stacie and Joey Danielle. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Friends may make contributions to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101. Condolences may be sent to www.steenfuneralhomes.com.
