Sydney Grant Thornbury Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1953 - 2008 Sydney Thornbury - 1953-2008 Sydney Grant Thornbury, 54, of Ashland, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at his residence. He was born Oct. 16, 1953, in Corona, Calif., the son of the late Grant Jr. and Nancy Allen Thornbury. He was the husband of Patricia Barnett Thornbury, who survives. He was an avid outdoorsman, was employed with Wal-Mart in Cannonsburg and in the landscaping business. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a stepdaughter, Alicia Marquez of Auburn, Ga.; a sister, Suzanne Riddle of Newport Beach, Calif.; a nephew and his wife, Tim and Erin Riddle of Mission Viejo, Calif.; a nephew, David Riddle of Irvine, Calif.; a great-niece, Rylynn Riddle; and a host of family and friends. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home- Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Visitation will be after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
