 Lucy Workman - 1947-2008
Mildred Lucille Lucy Cornwell Workman, 60, of Ashland, died Wednesday in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 28, 1947, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Ruben and Jessie Ballangee Cornwell. She was the wife of Timothy L. Workman, who survives. She was a member of Heritage Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles H. Hall of Ashland and Steven Wayne and Betsy Hall of Flatwoods; a daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Mike Cantrell of Elkins, W.Va.; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Frank and Patty Cornwell of South Point and George Cornwell and Jimmy Cornwell, both of Flatwoods; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Hazel Caldwell of Rush and Jean and Dan Butler of Nevada; and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel by the Rev. Jim Mitchell. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lucy
Lucy and Tim were neighbors of ours
at sunvalley estates in florida,she was always so happy and laughing,we will miss her pretty
face.she was the sunshine of the day,we was blessed with her presence and will never forget her
will still look down the street
to see if she's standing outside
ans we shake our head and cry because we realize she not there
we thank her for the good times she gave us. God bless you lucy and we love you aloT and we know
Tim will miss her very much.

Tim & Charles,
I just got the message about Lucy passing away. I am shocked, I had no idea she was battling lung cancer. You have my deepest regards and know it isn't easy losing a love one. I will always remember Lucy with love and affection. She was a very special person and I thought the world of you and Lucy. Just know your in my thoughts and prayers.
