Kimberly Renah Wheatley-Meeks (1960-2008)

Kimberly Renah Wheatley-Meeks, 48, of Westwood, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, in Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born June 16, 1960, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of Bill and Kay Tomlin Wheatley of Cannonsburg, Ky.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Wheatley.

She was a homemaker and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses.

Additional survivors include her loving husband of 261/2 years, Richard C. Meeks Sr. of Westwood; a son, Richard Jr. and Denise Meeks of Wellsville, Ohio; three daughters, Carlyn (David) Lusk of Jackson, Ohio, Angie (Karl) Meek of Huntington, W.Va., and Tonya (Barry) Whitt of Rush, Ky.; two brothers, Tony Wheatley of Westwood and James Wheatley of Ashland; a sister, Penny Smith of Ashland; and six grandchildren who will all miss her deeply, Justin Whitt, Weston Whitt, Jessica Meeks, Erick Meeks, Rachel Meeks, and Jordan Meeks. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel by Brother Sheldon Spence.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Bill, Kay, Tony, Penny and Jimmy, I am so sorry for your lost. You guys have always been like family to me. I will miss Kim so much, I just could not believe it. It breaks my heart to hear that Kim has passed. Any time I saw Kim, I was always impressed by her humility and kind-heartedness. I know she loved her family more than anything else in the world. I will miss her.
