I never knew Iva Fields but I am related to her husband's Fields family. I'd like to express my condolences to all of her extended family. She was obviously a very special lady. I do genealogy research as a hobby, so that is why I noted Iva's passing. Her husband and my grandmother were First Cousins. My grandmother was Agatha Fields Gearhart, daughter of George N. Fields who was a brother to W.C. Fields Sr.

IvaJune, I am so sorry to hear of your Mothers' passing. She was truly a Great Woman. I have lots of fond memories of her and of you. I remember 4H at your house, Girl Scout camp, and Bible School at the Methodist Church with her as our teacher, some of my earliest memories. Some more recent memories are running into her at Foodfair and always reminiscing about earlier days.
You are in my thoughts and Prayers.
Becky

Billy,Wanda,June and Dinah and your families, I am so sorry for your loss. Whenever I was fortunate over years to see her at church and around SP, she always had a story about one of her kids or their kids to share with me. She was such a huge part of my life at church and growing up in SP_to this day I always miss seeing her sitting in her pew when I attend the SPUMC,although I have so many wonderful memories of her being there I still feel her presence can be taken back to the days of my youth with those wonderful times of devotion that she gave to the youth of our church. I am travelling in OK and will not be back in time for her service, so I just wanted to take this chance to tell you how sorry I am and I thank God for her presence in my life-especially as a child.
