Margaret Brewer (1928-2009)
Margaret Brewer, 80, of Catlettsburg, Ky., died Monday evening, Jan. 5, 2009, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Mrs. Brewer was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of the late Floyd and Mamie Boone Cole.
In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ishmael R. Brewer, who died in 1997, and a grandchild, Shawn Johnson.
She was a devoted homemaker and attended New Life Fellowship in Russell, Ky.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Teresa) Brewer of Flatwoods, Ky., and Larry (Vickie) Brewer of Westwood, Ky.; three daughters, Oleta (Mike) Johnson of Ashland, Connie (Delmar) Barber of Danleyton, Ky., and Regina (Mark) Zornes of Ashland; a sister, Opal Kretzer of Westwood; grandchildren Angie Krivchenia, Allen Johnson, Jerry Brewer II, Stephanie Moore, Melissa Ashworth, Kelly Porter, Tammy Woodall, Brian Brewer, Brandon Brewer, Amy Reliford, Dale Barber, Heather Hensley and Ibby Barber; 31 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Dale Barber. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
