Thelma Williams Hobson (1921-2009)
Thelma Williams Hobson, 87, of Ashland, Ky., died Jan. 8, 2009, in Kings Daughters Medical Center.
She was born June 2, 1921, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Willie and Mary Callihan Blevins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hobson; a son, Bennie Hobson; five brothers; and two sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of Ashland Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Gary Hobson of Ashland; a daughter, Sharon Baer of Ashland; a sister, Betty Ramey of Ashland; a stepsister, Rose Mae Fraley of Grayson; a grandson, Donnie Baer of Ashland; a granddaughter, Sherri Baer Winebrenner and husband Derek of Lexington; a great-granddaughter, Madison Winebrenner; and a special friend, Don Baer.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 10, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Dr. Phil Haney. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
