I saw all the cars parked at your home and felt a deep sadness in my heart realizing that it was likely that Farley had passed. My fears were confirmed when I was today's paper. I wanted to attend the visitation this evening but had a prior obligation. I want to express my sorrow at your loss. He was a wonderful, caring man with a quick wit and great sense of humor. I feel very fortunate to have had him as a neighbor and friend.

We are so sorry for your loss and our inability to make the visitation. We have been baby sitting all day and could not get loose in time. Your father was a good man and will be missed by many lives he has touched through the years. I always found him jolly and open to any and all. Do know that we have walked in your shoes and will keep you in our prayers. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord," is a promise we can hang our hats on.

Susan and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Mr. Stuart's passing and we wanted to take a few moments to convey our heartfelt condolences to you during this time.
During my brief term as Band Director, I felt a personal support from the whole Stuart family that was so very important to a brand new teacher and that support was very much appreciated.
Additionally, the standards, the character and the personal integrity that was instilled in his children will serve as a lasting tribute to Mr. Stuart's memory.
Please know that you are remembered in our thoughts and our prayers.

To Loretta and family, Nearly 50 years ago you provided a dish for our family when Daddy died, that remains my first really clear memory. It is a symbol to me of amazing friends and family who help take care of each other's needs in special times like this. I pray that those who are close to you can meet some of your needs at this time, and that God will provide the rest. Still Myrtle's oldest :-) Becky
